Dump Cake

I remember posting this in an elitist food community, and one girl apparently "cringed" when she saw the "box mix". Then she actually read the rest of the post and realized it looked REALLY good. And you're certainly welcome to make your own cake mix from scratch, but you'll have completely missed half the point of this recipe...SUPER EASY. The other half being SUPER YUMMY.

Let's begin, shall we?

Ingredients:
1 box cake mix
1 stick of butter
fruit of your choice (apples, blueberries, cherries, etc)
13 x 9 cake pan (or do half the recipe in a loaf pan)

BLUEBERRIES!





in this presentation we will actually be using the half recipe in a loaf pan


white cake mix!


dump cake mix over berries (this is where we get the name DUMP CAKE)


spread mix so it covers all the berries


slice up butter


cover surface evenly


put in oven for 1 hour at 350


the fruit might bubble up through the crust and this is OKAY




serve with ice cream


eat it on up!


If you make it with apples, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the apples, and also on top over the cake mix.
